A big shout out to all the mothers, from old to young; this day belong to you.
From my perspective motherhood is often taken for granted; we tend to forget how God uses women to bring people into this world.
We often see women pregnant and never think about the process of pregnancy; with all the different changes their bodies go through, I understand why the quote “I brought you into this world and I will take you out of this world” became so famous.
Although being pregnant and having a child is a component of being a woman, it doesn’t necessary mean a woman is ready for motherhood.
Mother’s Day should be celebrated; it’s a reminder that our mothers should be appreciated.
Some of us are fortunate to have a biological mother to thank, some of us are thankful for the women that step into the role of motherhood.
My mother was one of the strongest women I knew; she raised ten children practically on her own.
We didn’t have much but she made it enough, she did the best she could with what she had.
From the words of the late great 2pac Shakur, “Mama made miracles every thanksgiving,” she is definitely appreciated.
